Digital Social Content Coordinator

Reports to Ecommerce Manager

This is an exciting new opportunity within a rapidly expanding fashion lifestyle retail business for an eCommerce Web Assistant. The role is to support the daily operational functions of the eCommerce Manager within the retail department. We are seeking a candidate who is ambitious and energetic to join a well established friendly team..

We are looking for a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for content production and management of, the 5 Poinz social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google + YouTube). Working with the Ecommerce Manager, Photography team and buyer of the company, you will lead on building brand awareness and generating product consideration through social-first content production, whilst growing and engaging audiences within 5 Pointz social channels.

You will be highly organised and motivated social media pro with a creative flare, able to write persuasive and ‘thumb-pausing’ original copy. Exceptional attention to detail, excellent presentation skills and a strong aptitude to teamwork.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development and management of the social content calendar, also supporting the Ecommerce Manager with any ad hoc campaigns, promotions and competitions.

  • Asset management.

  • Be a diligent guardian and gatekeeper for content quality, reviewing assets with a premium eye and showing outstanding attention to detail.

  • Content audits to determine which posts are the most impactful for differing audiences and channels.

  • Review analytics reports to understand the performance of your content, using this information to suggest improvements.

  • Be a content opportunist - identifying news stories and developing new ways for consumers to engage with the brand with a ‘social first’ mindset.

  • Be the voice of 5 Pointz. Responding to questions, pro-actively starting conversations and monitoring brand and product mentions.

  • Identify niche communities, such as sneaker blogs, to engage and develop as brand advocates.

  • Identify the content and editorial style that drives engagement in different channels.

  • Work with the Ecommerce manager and Identify influencers and affiliates and grow them into advocates.

  • Monitoring competitor social content.

  • Take control of our blog writing engagement news piece.

  • Work closely with people at all levels across the business to ensure that the account is running smoothly.

  • Keep up-to-date on the latest developments and key trends and share internally information on social communication strategies, emerging social channels and competitor social activity and innovation.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Currently in a Social Media Manager (or similar) role

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • High level of familiarity with established and emerging social platforms

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to write simply and persuasively.

  • Able to articulate and present ideas with conviction

  • A clear communicator, in person and writing

  • Approachable, outgoing and diplomatic

  • Understanding of social analytics

  • Diplomatic and professional with the ability to work well with all levels of staff (both internal and external)

  • Passion and empathy for the consumer’s perspective

  • Passionate about getting others involved and having fun along the way

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Assertive and resourceful with a proven track record of getting things done

  • Ability to function well under demanding timelines
