Retail Operations Manager 

We are an independent menswear clothing, sneaker lifestyle door. The company is on the growth, thriving in a fast paced, explosive industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the business during the transition of a new store and new vision. Due to the success and growth of the business we are now looking to recruit a Retail Operations Manager to join our team, based in Bristol, UK.

About the Retail Operations Manager role :

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will act as the central communications point across the store and web team. Providing input into the development, guidance, monitory and advice on specific policy’s and procedures.

You will have an end-to-end understanding of the value delivery system for the business, specifically where value is added. You are responsible for delivering the product/service according to company KPI’s, schedule, quality and other customer requirements. You will have a clear understanding of what our customers value, how our value delivery system meets those needs and the critical elements that need to be actively managed.

Retail Operations Manager Responsibilities :

You will manage the overall operation of the business to ensure that assigned store and web store productivity, sales and profitability goals are achieved and exceeded.

Leadership & Communication Skills – Leading teams from 3 departments, store, warehouse and online to achieve organisational skills. Ensuring that communications is on going and effective between different departments.

Planning – Staying ahead of the game and ensuring that plans for the future are clearly outlined for everyone to follow.

Budgeting – Maintain control of budgets and overall margins, managing the equity of the business.

Analytical Skills – Efficiently improve processes through critical analyses. WSSI analysis accomplished to develop and forecast sales for each department.

Decision-Making/Problem Solving Skills – Adapting to the every-changing environment across the companies three key departments and reacting quickly to meet challenges.

Initiative – The Ability to work alone and take the lead when hurdles arise or when tasks require completion.

Presentation – The ability to present ideas, strategies and results to different stakeholders across the business. You will be an integral part in representing to business to stakeholders and must obtain company values through appearance and attitude.

Team Working – Fostering an environment of teamwork to ensure that all products are delivered on time and company goals are met.

Strategic Thinking – In alignment with business competencies, have an understanding of the customers needs and make sure the systems and processes support the businesses ability to effectively compete within the industry

HR –Responsible for the entirety of the HR system across the business.

Recruitment and Training – You will recruit, train, motivate and develop the team to optimise business performance to reflect the brand qualities. Ensure all staff have excellent product knowledge and are regularly trained on new merchandise and achieve the highest level of customer service.

Ideal Candidate:

2 years relevant experience in a premium brand environment.

Degree qualified preferred Retail Management NVQ/ BA Business Management, but will consider proven track record.

Experience in E-Commerce and how it merges with bricks and mortar store.

Experience of working on a shop floor as retail sales.
