Assistant Shop Floor Manager

Reports to Shop Floor Manager and Operations Retail Manager

We have established ourselves over the past ten years to become one of the UK's leading sneaker and menswear clothing store. We came from humble roots, starting with a small store, in Old Market Street, Bristol. Progressively our brand grew and we moved to a more central location and we grew online to become a Premium Menswear and Lifestyle door. We are now going through the next stage of our progression as a brand and looking for like-minded people to join us through our expansion.


You will be responsible for supervising a small team and the handling general tasks as stated below. Displaying a diverse and broad skill set in retail customer service, and a strong ambition in supporting the growth of the business is key in this role . The successful candidate should represent 5 Pointz and yourself well by acting as a role model to the people reporting to you.


  • Assisting the store management team in achieving company KPI's through leading and mentoring a team
  • Ensuring you and your team demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, interacting with customers when they require assistance
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of leadership, planning, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Maintain awareness of product and merchandising standards, utilising floor plans, replenishing stock and following VM guidelines
  • To identify opportunities and initiatives to continually improve performance, communicating them to the store management team regularly
  • To be aware of Health & Safety requirements in the store and communicate all potential issues risks to management
  • Be able to step into the role as acting manager and resuming all management responsibilities during the management teams absence


  • As part of a small, supportive team, from time to time you will be required to assist certain aspects of the online dispatch team


  • A proven track record when it comes to delivering excellent customer service in a service-driven retail business
  • A passion and drive for the products we sell
  • Show great levels of ambition in wanting to grow within the management team and have the tenacity to do so
  • Experience in leading a small shop floor team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Have the ability to create a fun and productive working environment
  • Able to use own initiative and think on your feet
