Nike Air Max 1 Black / Black / Sail

This sleek new colourway of the Air Max 1 from Nike features the classic shaping, suede/mesh uppers, the original visible air unit, an off white midsole, a padded tongue and tonal Nike branding on the tongue and heel. The Nike Air Max 1 was designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1987. The lightweight design and the visible air unit meant the bar was raised for all future running shoes. Since then there have been many re-workings and colour variations of the Air Max 1, and the timeless silhouette still looks as good as it ever did. Hatfield is still heavily involved with shoe development at Nike.
