Brand History
Founded in 2006 and based in Leicester, UK, Ichiban is a clothing brand that encompasses street culture, while exploring and diversifying it before applying to their apparel.

Ichiban has adopted the phrase 'For Those That Know' (abbreviated to FTTK) as their brand slogan and is undoubtedly one of UK’s hottest new brands, focused on bringing fresh and new graphical urban design to streetwear.

Ichiban produces distinctive designs on T Shirts and Crewnecks which exude individuality with no barriers. The bearers of the brand will relate to garments in style and thought process. Their mission is to serve and attain for its wearers Ichiban# status where one must be exclusively styled and designed.

Ichiban clothing is only available through a hand pickied selection of stockists and 5 Pointz is very proud to be one of those few...that know.

 

Recent Ichiban News
Ichiban have lived up to expectations again with their latest drop of crewnecks. There is lot cross over from the tee designs and each one stands up to the test of changing garments. The best selling 'Get Money' design makes it's first appearance on a grey marl crew and it looks as strong as ever. The red, white, and black work brilliantly against this dark grey and makes the design jump out.

The Ichiban design that has been coming a close second to the 'Get Money' is the 'Fresh Cuts' design. This is completely different in message and look to the aforementioned, but still recognizably Ichiban. The monotone print with it's decorated type and crossed meat cleavers is pure hip hop. It reminds me of the graphics on the decorated vests worn by New York street gangs in the nineteen seventies.

'Currency Wars' is another Ichiban design to make it's debut on a crewneck. This one has got be on black to bring out the 'money' green in the image. I particularly like the Queen's head on the body of a shotgun toting gangster. A good look for HRH.

The 'Skyline' design is a perfect piece if you want your clothes to be repping the UK and especially London Town. The blocky type is filled with an aerial photo of the big city and is almost definitely an homage to the infamous DKNY logo that has similar type filled with a shot of NYC.

'Killing Time', with it's skull and crossbones merged with a clockface is also now available as crew.

The latest Ichiban drop of tees is in and it contains a wide variation of graphic styles and subjects, taking inspiration from an array of sources from the Italian Renaissance through Walt Disney to the current economic crisis.
