Brand History
Crooks and Castles was founded in 2002 by Dennis Calvero and Robert Panlilio to bring a different element to the realm of streetwear. They wanted to start a lifestyle brand that would reflect their own life and their interests.

Dennis Calvero said in an interview with Artsprojekt that, "The Inspiration was to create a brand that was based off our upbringing, our interests and past experiences as well as creating a lifestyle unlike others."

What caught their attention in the mid 90's was independent fashion/graphic brands. After years of learning the in's & out's of the business by starting a brand without any knowledge of how to start or run a clothing company, they finally came to this... "Crooks & Castles"! The concept was easy. "Crooks", criminals, pimps, hustlers, thieves, etc. The "Castles" represents those who got rich by becoming a crook.

5 Pointz is one of a handful of exclusive stockists of this illustrious brand and stocks the full range every season.

Recent Crooks and Castles News
Glamour, strength in numbers, making money inside/outside the law and a Los Angeles take on life. Crooks and Castles don't ever stray from these definitions and their latest drop is certainly proof of this. By sticking to a few core graphic images they have built a strong brand that is still growing in popularity. The graphics is always sharp and the clothes are always premium.

The latest selection of plaid shirts shows that this statement is always true when discussing Crooks' output. The 'Bandito Box Plaid' is a prime example of C & C's design ethic. The bold pattern and clean, crisp embroidered graphics shouts out: Premium product. The placing of the Medusa so she is only have visible and cut off where the sleeve begins means you don't always catch her at first glance. Once you have then she is obvious but the effect is still subtle. The pattern is much closer on the 'Gingham' and the 'Classic Plaid' and the graphics is kept to a minimum, but the quality of the cut and sew s stil instantly apparent.

There's a fine selection of dual-tone varsity jackets in this drop, including the 'Thieves Letterman' jacket which along with some really intricate embroidery has premium leather sleeves. For an 100% cotton look which makes less of a dent on your wallet there's the 'Bandito Stadium' jacket. It has contrasting sleeves an embroidered logo on the left chest and a wicked masked bandito image embroidered on the back.

If you're looking for a less casual look we have several smart numbers to satisfy your needs. The 'Marine Canvas Peacoat' jacket with it's single tone, double breasted button closure and buttondown shoulder guards has a smart clean cut look that any captain would be proud to rock.  Also in this smart maritime vein is the 'Naval Speckle' jacket. It is dual- tone with several flap pockets on the front and a drawstring hood, plus looking like it should come with a free yacht.

The whole maritime look seems to have been adopted whole heartedly by several big streetwear names and it's only going to increase by the look of things. It's not just the outer wear either as the 'Port Authority' tee shows. With a large text based print on the back it has a clean look that is pure Crooks.
