The Nike Air Force 1 has often been referred to as the greatest sneaker of all time. It has spawned many imitators and even more followers.
Released in 1982 and designed by the legendary Bruce Kilgore, the Nike Air Force 1 was the first sneaker to feature “Air” technology (the Nike Air cushioning system) and was named after the Air Force One aircraft that is used by the President of the United States.

Nike Air Force 1 has been an icon of street culture since their release and has been the footwear of choice for many hip hop artists including Nelly who released a single called ‘Air Force Ones’ in 2002 about his love of the shoes.
