Only Fall 2012
As you may well have guessed... it's about that time again, the Only NY Fall 2012 collection is upon us. Not too dissimilar from their summer line, the Fall collection features a variety of crisply designed 5 panels, bold crewnecks and a fresh collection of tees that pay homage to their 90's sportswear roots. Only NY has a fairly simple approach to their designs, they tend not to over-complicate things like other street wear brands. Sticking to simple, bold designs they manage to create a unique, timeless look. Having said that, they're definitely not shy of using patterns, the Strawberry 5 Panel cap (below) is an example of this, available in Navy or Black and featuring an all over print of cartoon style strawberries.
Previous drops from Only NY have all included raglan crewnecks, made from a soft tri blend of cotton, polyester and rayon, the quality of these crews is exceptional. The Only NY USA Raglan Crewneck Sweatshirt is available in 2 colours, Peach and Mint Green (below). The crew features a large Art Deco style 'ONLY NEW YORK' logo screen print across the front and a branded tab on the collar. The Only NY USA design is also available in the form of a tee, featuring the same print across 3 colour-ways (Lapis Blue, White or Butter).
The Only NY Sportswear T Shirt is available in 3 different colour-ways; Black, Slate Grey and White (below). Featuring a retro style multi-colour screen print on the front stating 'ONLY Sportswear', this is a prime example of the brands 90's New York heritage, utilising bright and bold colours with a distinctive, fractured type face. It's definitely hard to pick a favourite out of the 3 colour-ways in this design.
Another new design for Fall 2012, the Only NY Volley T Shirt is available in Baby Blue, Lemon Yellow and Heather Orange (below), also available as a tank top. Very similar to the brands core logo the Volley tee features a slanted print of 'ONLY' in italic, block capital font.
The Only NY Manhattan Snapback Black/Tan features the brands hometown embroidered in an italic script across the front, also available in Royal Blue/Tommy Red with the same italic script in gold. Both hats feature a branded tab next to the plastic size adjuster, with contrasting colours on the peak, top button and size adjuster.
Many brands have jumped on the 5 Panel hype in the last 12 months, in contrast to the snapback obsession that we saw in 2011. However, Only NY have been pushing these since day one, no strangers to the use of bright colours, the USA 5 Panel Cap is available in Caribbean/Navy Blue, Charcoal Grey/Silver and Royal Blue/Ivory (below). With this design the brand really utilizes the panels available to great effect with front, top, side panels and peak all in contrasting colours.
The Only NY Logo 5 Panel has been a best seller since we received our first drop from the brand a little over a year ago, this season it features a little update in the form of a a coloured band around the edge of the peak. Available in Oceania Blue, Raspberry and Khaki (below), the Fall 2012 drop is distinctively Only NY, featuring their core, box logo design across the front panel.
The Fall 2012 drop from the brand also features the mesh sided version of the Logo 5 Panel, available in Royal Blue or Teal (above). This is almost identical to the aforementioned Logo 5 Panel, with the addition of mesh side panels to prevent those hot-headed moments!
As it stand that is all we have time for at the moment, this drop is available both online and in-store right now.. but be quick, as this drop is going fast!

Puma Fall 2012
This brand really doesn't need much in the way of an introduction, as far as street wear labels go they can definitely be credited as one of the originators. The rivalry between Adidas and the brand is stuff of street wear legend, and since the release of the Clyde (in 1973!), Puma have become an iconic and recognisable part of the old school hip hop/skate subcultures.
Puma is a brand we have wanted to stock since the shop opened back in 2004, and the brand continues to impress with each season. As you may have already noticed we recently had a small drop of various different versions of the Suede (Classic Eco/Vintage Distressed/CVO Cycling).
No strangers to the pursuit of speed (currently endorsing the worlds fastest man Usain Bolt), the brand has released a number of iconic running shoes since the early 80's. The Trinomic Trail (based on the R698 Jogger) is available in both low and mid, in a pretty fresh colour-way (Birch/Winetasting). Both the shoes feature rugged construction and close attention to detail. The sole features deep tread and is designed to optimize traction, with a cushioned heel for comfort and rubberized panel protects the toe and heel box. The use of different fabrics could put quite a few other running shoes to shame, the form strip is suede on a canvas upper, with canvas straps reinforcing the metal lace loops. So here's a few photos to give you a little taste!
Along with the Trinomic Trail runners, we also have some apparel in the form of a tee and a crewneck (above) available in burgundy and black featuring the Trinomic logo on the left side of the chest along with the brands logo on the bottom left of the garment. For the time being that's all we have for you, products will be online as soon as possible.
Rebel 8 Fall 2012
Straight from the drawing board of the infamous Mr Giant, Rebel 8's Fall 2012 collection is now upon us. This drop has much of what you would expect from the L.A. based brand, strong typefaces and bold black and white images of girls covered in tattoos. As stated in a previous Rebel 8 post, every graphic by Mike Giant is hand-illustrated, making his intricately detailed designs all the more impressive.
The Fall 2012 drop contains an array of snap backs, fitted caps, t-shirts, hoodies, and also some crisply designed accessories. To kick things off the Rebel 8 Blessed T Shirt (below) is available in black and white (also as a zip hoodie) featuring the silhouette of the brands distinctive gothic '8' logo rendered with an image of a praying girl covered in tattoos. This design also features Mike Giants graffiti tag on the bottom right of the image.
Next up is the Rebel 8 Bottoms Up T (below) is available in 2 colours (black or white). Bold, capital typeface sits above and below Giants trademark illustration of a girl rendered with tattoos, posing in a rather provocative position.
Something that never fails to impress the staff here at 5 Pointz is the originality behind all the type faces used by the brand. The Bite the Bullet tee (below) is also available in both black and white, features the brand name in a typically gothic font. Below is a crest centered around their '8' logo, surrounded by a voodoo/occult style font with the words "Often Immitated, Never Duplicated".
The Rebel 8 High Noon Charcoal t shirt (below) features a 'B-Movie' style print of 3D rock-effect lettering stating 'The Rebel Eight Originals' with an '8' logo in front of it, with both casting shadows. As with all of the brands tees it also has a woven '8' logo label sewn to the left sleeve.
The Rebel 8 SF Vacation tee in Heather Grey (below) features a print in the style of a retro postcard, rendered with illustrations of Mike Giants hometown (San Francisco, CA), and adorned with the brands numerous slogans, obligatory semi-nude girls.
With previous drops from Rebel 8 we have tended to focus on core garments (hats, hoods, crewnecks and tees) however, for fall 2012 we are very pleased to announce the arrival of the Junction L/S Plaid shirt in maroon and black. Constructed from brush cotton flannel, the cut on this shirt is particularly nice (slim and long) featuring button down collar and pockets. Each button features intricately detailed Rebel 8 branding.
Also new for this season, the Rebel 8 Standard Issue Wallet (below) features a premium leather exterior with a debossed '8' logo on the front right corner. The interior is canvas with a main banknote compartment, six card sleeves, and a woven logo label.
As you may know, we have been backing New Era fitted caps since we opened back in 2004. With a collection of teams and brands that rivals the flagship stores, we just like to make sure ytou have a hat for you (whether you want a snapback, 5 panel or fitted etc.) Rebel 8 have always pushed the quality of their New Eras to new levels, from premium fabrics, silk lining and extra embroidery under the peak, there's always something that makes the hat that little bit more special.
The Rebel 8 Logo New Era Cap Fa12 Black (above left) features the brands '8' logo embroidered to the front, 'REBEL EIGHT' embroidered to the back and a graphic printed to the underpeak. Rebel 8 Gangster New Era Cap Pinstripe Grey Black (above right) features a crown constructed from pinstripe cotton twill reminiscent of the suits worn by prohibition era gangsters. It also features a contrasting peak, an embroidered '8' logo on the front, both hats feature a New Era Flag logo on the left side.
The H.W.T.C. (Heavy Weighs The Crown) logo is new for Fall 2012, available across snapbacks, fitted caps, tees and a crewneck. The H.W.T.C. Snapback Denim Blue (above), also available black/grey, is yet another good example of the brands use of premium fabrics/materials on their garments. The crown is constructed from raw denim with contrasting black peak. The H.W.T.C. phrase is also embroidered onto the back above the plastic size adjuster, aswell as 'REBEL8' graphic is printed onto the underside of the peak.
The California Snapback in Maroon is a little different to the rest of the drop, featuring a fine pincord style crown and the word 'California' embroidered in a crisp and clear italic typography. The hat also features the words 'Rebel Eight' in one of Giants trademark typefaces, embroidered above the plastic size adjuster.
As stated earlier in this post, The Rebel 8 Bite The Bullet design is another new one for Fall 2012, available in a zip up hoody (above), a tee (in both black & white) as well as a snapback in 2 different colour ways (Light Blue & Grey/Black).
Having seen the success of the Plantlife socks from HUF, and branded accessories in general, the Rebel 8 Standard Issue socks are available in White/Maroon (above) aswell as Black/White. Made in a classic sportswear stylefeaturing the brand's '8' logo on the ankle with two horizontal lines above, and contrasting patches on the heel and toe.
As it stands, that's all we have time for today as far as the Fall 2012 drop is concerned. We should be recieveing the Holiday 2012 installment from Rebel 8 by the end of October.
