A big ONLY NY drop is IN STORE and soon to be online.

That's right people. The long awaited drop from ONLY NY is finally coming. We've got a massive selection of hats already available IN our Bristol STORE and they are soon to be online. Also from tomorrow (24th Dec 2011) a large selection of tees, hoodys and crewnecks are available (also IN STORE only) and will be available online first thing in the new year.
ONLY NY is a small independent brand working out of West Manhatten that has become big in streetwear very quickly, due mainly to the originality and qulaity of their design. Their strong, clean cut graphics represents their home town perfectly.
Here's a preview of some of the hats we've got in store and will be online.
This is the 'Logo' 5 Panel. I'm not really into my 5 Panels but friends of mine who love 'em seem to uncomfortably excited about these. I can see their point. The cord contrasts so nicely against the nylon front panel with that satisfying blocky logo.

This is the 'Sports Logo' snapback. The black tan and white work perfectly with each other. A truly dope hat.

A lot of Only's design takes influence from classic modernist and Art Deco stuff. This 'Industrial' snapback is a prime example of this. That logo is pure Bauhaus. We've also got a really nice raglan hoody with the same design on it coming really soon.

This 'Camper' hat with a leather strap at the back has a classic look to it too. but harks back to more traditional Ameriana. Rocky Mountains, men with moustaches who wear all denim and drive pick up trucks. All that jazz. Really like the embossed leather and contrasting peak.

So again:
ONLY NY snapbacks, 5 panels and beanies are now available IN STORE and will soon be on-line.
ONLY NY clothing will be available IN STORE from the 24th DEC and will also be on-line soon.

The Hundreds and Diamond Supply Co. Collab
An endless summer seems like a fairytale when you're a UK resident in mid December, huddled around the radiator with a dozen layers on, seeing your own breath when your indoors. But it's a nice dream, and a dream that The Hundreds and Diamond Supply Co. are pushing hard with their new collaboration capsule collection.
The main design element of the capsule is a specially designed 'Aloha' pattern made up of bombs, diamonds and plenty of Hawaiian imagery to make you forget those winter chills. Here it is contained within a diamond silhouette on the 'Diamond Logo' tee. Nice and simple, with Diamond Supply Co's logo shining out.

This 'Adam Bomb Logo' tee gives everyones favourite wide eyed mascot the 'Aloha' treatment. Adam on his holidays. We've also got this one in white.
Last but not least is the 'Hula' tee with a detailed, vintage postcard style design of a Hula girl having been given The Hundreds X Diamond Supply Co. treatment...
We've also got a few of these 'Hawaiian Adam' snapbacks, featuring a tiffiny blue embroidered Adam and, once again, the 'Aloha' pattern across the underpeak and the lining.
Feel that gentle island breeze. I feel warmer already. You can buy these right now, plus a whole load of other goodies from The Hundreds on our 'The Hundreds' page right now.
Supra 'Pop Pack' Vaider and Skytop 3
Just in for the holidays are these new colourways of the Vaider and the Skytop 3 from Supra's 'Pop Pack'. What makes these one's special is the 'Bubblegum' magenta detailing. They're definitely going to split the Supra fanbase right down the middle with these, but I think they breath some new life into these silhouettes, especially the Skytop 3. Considering it was such a break from Supra's norm the colourways available have been quite calm so far, so this slice of 'Bubblegum' livens things up a bit and shows off the well-considered sole shape nicely.
The off-white transparent plastic side plates and heel strap are a good touch too, adding another tone to the suede grey uppers.
Here's the Vaider. Again, I think they've used just enough of the magenta to catch the eye and make you notice the satisfying shape of the shoe. Really like the bubblegum crown and the blinding all over colouring of the undersole.
Seperate from the 'Pop Pack' but definitely in the same vein and intended to provoke the same reaction is this new colourway of the 'so high they touch the sky' Society. It is part of a capsule collection called the 'Max Pack' and is decorated with a 'Neon' ankle panel and strap, along with details on the sole. I think cynics will be surprised at the positive reaction this one is going to recieve. I've already seen kids drolling all over our shop floor at the sight of them and I think they'll be filling quite a lot of stockings (big high top sized stockings) this christmas.
The two tones of grey suede are a nice touch.
If you prefer your Supra's in slightly calmer tones we've got a lot of other choices in our Supra section.
Mighty Healthy. Delicious, Nutricious and full of NY flavour.
The more observant among you will notice that this drop I'm about to discuss has been available on our site for sometime now. Not making excuses but it's been busy around here, I've only got one pair of hands, I try my best, the dog ate it, etc. Anyway, here it is...
Mighty Healthy was founded in 2004 by New York natives Ray Mate and Denis Iderman and has since secured it's reputation as an imaginative, unapologetic young men's apparel brand. Everything about the brand from their modern approach to basic fabrics and silhouettes, to the loud mesage their tees often carry is pure New York.
I first knew of them from their extremely popular 'Listen To Biggie' and 'Listen To Ghostface' tees and instantly liked their attitude. This first drop we've recieved shows off this no bull, east coast philosophy and contains some real winners. Let's start with one of my favourites from the bunch that has just been flying out, the 'All City' tee.
I'm always a fan of big photo prints on tees and New York is always a good subject for any photo and the incorporation of the logo by having it painted on the side of the building, is a nice touch. The roughness of the graff contrasts well with the classic typeface at the bottom as well.
Varsity lettering is a graphic tool used across the board in streetwear, especially by east coast brands, 10 Deep being a prime example. As you can see on this 'OG' tee Mighty have used it with great effect to create one of their core graphics. I think it's really strong and again is pure New York.
Here it is having been given the 'Rasta' flex. Mighty Li-on. Works well.
Put a beautiful women in a state of undress on a tee and you're onto a winner. That seems to be a pretty solid rule in streetwear, and who's complaining, especially if she's contained within a smooth, 70's style, typeface as on this 'Seduce' tee. That's a winning formula.

RIP Guru. You know 'em... Simple message on the 'Steez' tee.
Check out our Mighty Healthy page for the full selection, with another drop coming in the new year.
Hall Of Fame brings some quality Snapbacks and 5 Panels
Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles is, as many of you may know, is the hub of all things Streetwear in the city and quite possibly the whole West Coast, with most of the big names being represented. Hall Of Fame started life as a store on this illustrious stretch of concrete, selling choice wears (mainly hats) from a selection of top brands, always emphasizing the close connection between the world of pro-sports, hip hop and streetwear. For example; along the top of their website is a rolling stream of recent game results from the NBA, NFL and NHL.
Once they had gained notoriety for being the go-to place for fresh apparel and business started to grow, they started they're own small line of apparel. This took off quickly and led to a number of collaborations with brands such as Diamond Supply Co. and 10 Deep, as well as several big name celebrity endorsements. This clothing line is expanding every season with them recently venturing into 'cut and sew', with them always sticking firmly to their sports inspired roots.
Due to this highly respectable back story and their dedication to quality streetwear, we are very proud to add Hall of Fame to our handpicked list of brands. We've started with just a taster of Snapbacks and 5 Panels, with a more substantial drop coming early 2012.
These are the three colourways of the 'Ewing' snapback we have in, all made with soft suede, contrasting peaks and the simple 'FAME' logo embroidered across the front. This simple, to-the-point style of graphics is used throughout Hall Of Fame's clothing range and reflects the minimal clean look of their original store.
All the hats come with this nice '2nd Sucks' embroidery on the side, which again harks back to their pro-sports obsession and possibly shows how seriously they take their expansion as a brand.
We've also got this quality 'Logo' 5 Panel, constructed using the same soft suede as the snapbacks, with an embossed leather patch sewn to the front, metal rimmed vents and the same '2nd Sucks' logo on the side. We've also got this one in black. These people really know their hats and this first little taster selection has shown that . Pure quality. As I mentioned earlier, we've got a bigger Hall of Fame drop coming early next year with more hats and some tees and crews, so keep your eye out.
The latest Rebel8 drop is full of the usual Mike Giant badness.
Rebel8 has become a global streetwear brand for one reason; the mesmerizing hand drawn illustrations of one Mr Mike Giant. This San Fransisco tattoo/graffiti artist has built this brand (with the help of Joshy D running the business side of things) purely on the strength of his crisp art work. These images that always have quite a dark flavour are instantly recognisable because of their intricacy and detail. The truly impressive fact is that there is no digital aid in the production of this work. What you see on a Rebel8 tee is exactly the same image produced on a piece of paper in Giant's studio. Badman.
We've just recieved the latest drop from Rebel8 and it is full of examples of this illustrative skill. A common theme in every collection of their's, clearly taken from Giant's background in tattoo's, is beautiful women inked up with Rebel8 imagery. This seasons version of this is the 'Rosalie III' tee. Rosalie is pulling down her top to reveal just how dedicated to the cause she is...
Skulls are a common theme throughout the realms of graffiti, tattoo's and streetwear, but rarely do you see a skull executed with such detail as on this 'Undead' tee. The impression is that it's on fire with the snake writhing in the flames. Like I said Giant seems to like it dark...not much of the sunshine and puppies in his world...and gawd bless him for that.
As logo's go it is rare that you get one that manages to sum up the entire ethos of a brand as well as Rebel8's '8'. So why not put it really big on the front of tee...no reason. That's why. It looks fucking dope. We've also got this 'R8 Logo' tee in white.
The typefaces that Giant has produced have also become an instantly recognisable part of Rebel8's graphic output. This next 'Locals Only' piece shows off this rough but considered style of lettering perfectly, while also rocking another one of his eerie but beautiful women.
I was also going to write a little about the excellent New Eras and Snapbacks that came with this drop but I'm out of time for today. You can check them out for yourself though in our Rebel 8 section.
