The Hundreds Garfield Collection
If you'd have told me a year ago that LA label The Hundreds would be doing a collaboration with eighties cartooning legend and creator of the infamously lazy cat Garfield, Jim Davis, I may have told you to stop smoking whatever you're smoking and begin the slow crawl back to reality.
It just isn't an obvious partnership...but now the entire collection has been unveiled and the size/ quality of the project has become apparent, I'm a convert. The Hundreds boys have really gone to town on this one. They've opened a pop up shop in Santa Monica, California purely to promote the collection as well as organizing a show of 'Garfield' themed pieces by some of the best contemporary American artists.
The range of products released is just massive, including Skate decks, vinyl toys and of course some wicked clothes. We've got the best pieces of these wears, featuring the fattest cat of the eighties. Click on the links below to get yourself a piece of this limited run, retro collection...
First up is the Basic Garfield Crew. Taking a cue from a classic Garfield graphic, this new version has Garfield posted up against The Hundreds logo written in the Garfield font. The collection of cut & sew Garfield sweatshirts are enzyme washed to create a vintage 80s aesthetic. This crew is also available in balck and the tee has the same feel to it with it's big front print that makes it really stand out...
This next tee design has Garfield showing of his place as leader of the pack. They don't look like the toughest crew but these guys have been hanging out since the mid-eighties so they're clearly loyal. They're also rocking The Hundreds gear to show that they're down with Adam...
The new friendship between Garfield and Adam is sealed with this next one. Although Adams fuse is always lit he never seems to have exploded, so hopefully they'll survive...
Last but not least is these very tasty 'Garfield' themed Johnsons. The Hundreds flagship sneaker has been done in Garfield colors and features, a suede leather exterior, dull metal and orange eyelets, a orange strip on the top sole and repeating tonal Garfield "Face" logo on outsole. There is also original Garfield comic art work, featuring Adam Bomb as a character, printed on the in-sole. A very nice touch. Makes these Johnsons extremely collectable.
Crooks & Castles Holiday Drop
There's an excellent selection of quality pieces in this latest winter drop from Crooks & Castles. The brand that brought you Medusa and a whole load of crime themed glamour have stuck to their guns with this selection.
There's some classy monotone baseball jackets, some top bobble hats and a brand new Medusa design that sits marvellously on a crewneck.
Lets start with the jacket. The CC B-Ball features a classic snapdown style with an embroidered logo patch on the left chest, a snap collar strap, dual snap waist pockets with side pockets and logo embroidery on the right, ribbed trim along the collar/cuffs/hem, and a logo tag above the hem. It's simple and top quality. The embroidered tonal logo patch is all the graphics that is needed.
We've also got this one in dark blue and black. A nice piece of headwear to go with this jacket and help fight off the rest of the winter is the 'Indian Colour Block' beanie with 'Crooks & Castles' branding knitted into the pattern. The bobble is definitely big at the moment...
If you don't fancy joining the bobble brigade we've got this tasty 'Full Blast' beanie that again has the branding wrapped around it...
The graphics on this next 'CRKS Camo' tee I think sums up the whole ethos of Crooks & Castles. It's got that glamorous, urban, expensive cars with hot woman feel to it...or maybe it's just a nice typeface...
You can't have a drop from C+C without their favourite snake-haired, dead eyed lass featuring in at least one of the designs. This time on the 'Medusa Block' she is sitting on the front of a crewneck with a background of tall lettering and a Roman style laurel wreath framing her. A nice reworking of the classic design. Available in several colours...
That's all for now. Be sure to check out these pieces in more detail and see what other Crooks & Castles goodies we've got in stock.
LRG's Latest is Full of Natural Colours.
Throughout their history as a brand LRG's output has always been clearly influenced by all things natural weather it's trees, giraffes or weed. They haven't strayed from this course with this latest offering which has a strong Alpine feel to it.
Brands that been popular in the streetwear scene often have a firm base in the world of outdoor wear. Just take the recent popularity of US Outdoor label Penfield. They've been making down filled jackets for old blokes who drive big trucks and drink watery beer since the mid seventies and now their style suddenly suits a completely different market.
You get the feeling that LRG has seen this cross over coming and have adapted their winter wear to go right along with it. This stuff wouldn't look out of place up a mountain in Montana but would also complete an outfit of any youth walking down the street.
A prime example of this cross over is this Hedmark Down Vest. With it's warm filling and soft lining this such a comfortable piece and the cross stitched patterning across the chest and down the hood is typical of the Alpine style throughout this collection...
The same pattern is used to fill the print of this 'Haakon' tee which along with the Nordic typeface has winter style wrapped up...
A perfect partner to go over this tee as it is still f**king freezing is this brilliantly detailed Norski Sweater. They call it a sweater but we all know this a cardigan and there's no shame in that. It's a fine piece and the pattern stitched throughout give it a classy look.
A simpler piece, but again a smart one is this Dripstone cardigan. It's fitted enough to go with smarter stuff and basic enough to be everyday gear and is very comfortable. Highly recommended...
LRG, like all big brands, have a selection of logos that they rework and combine to keep their own identity strong. The graphics used in their Core Collection is the base versions of these logos which are then adapted throughout the seasonal collections. These next pieces are strong examples of this. This is the Growing Up tee and the Fortified Live Letterman Jacket, which uses very similar tree-based imagery but as a sewn-on chest logo:
This next One to Grow On tee and sweater break up the well known LRG flowing letters and adds their infamous giraffe. Simple as that. Works a treat...
Plaid patterns on shirts and jackets is a factor of streetwear that isn't going away. With this Flathead Flannel Shirt Jacket you get the best bits of a thick flannel shirt mixed with a hooded jacket and a widely spaced plaid pattern throughout. It's a winner...
This Axe About Me Jacket uses a plaid pattern across the sleeves and shoulders and has a definite lumberjack feel to it...hence the Axe in the name I suppose. Took me a minute to get that one...
These last three pieces are prime examples of LRG's excellent use of simple, well considered graphics. The images are instantly recognizable as LRG but also have something individual to them that has not been seen before. These first two are the Exploratorium Hoody and tee. Both feature a one tone reworking of the infamous tree logo. A really smooth design...
And this is the Voyager tee. Again it's a simple and clean reworking of the tree with a typically inspiring slogan along the bottom...
Basically we have a lot of excellent LRG stuff in stock. Visit our LRG section to see these pieces in more detail and to check out the rest.
Diamond Supply Co get sexy with Cassie Ventura
They feature large frontal photo print of model/RnB singer Cassie Ventura holding a diamond taken by renowned fashion photographer Estevan Oriol. Oriol is an LA based photographer who has been capturing images of the urban and hip hop communities since the early nineties and is one of the most sought after names in the game.
These tees are the result of of a collaboration for two of the most cutting edge creative minds in the industry. They're simple, sharp and Ventura has definitely got the face for photos. These tees are an extremely limited run so get yours sharpish...
Mishka Brings a Load of Wicked New Crews
The founders of Mishka have said themselves that: "We just gravitate towards the obscure and oddball. We understand that only a handful of people will get our references, but we try to balance that by presenting them in a strong visual mannerr that anyone can enjoy without fully understanding it..."
I think their two most famous logos the Bearmop and the Snakey Bear type Death Adder show that this is spot on. Even if you don't know where they got their influence from these two images are eye-catching and reassuringly cool.
This is why we were very chuffed when a big load of new Mishka crewnecks landed on our doorstep. First up is this Oversized Death Adder Knitted Sweater. The iconic scary image is knitted into the front of this incredibly soft jumper. A brilliant use of this strong image...
This next one is a re-release of the extremely popular Oversized Mop crewneck. We've got several new luminous versions of this brilliant design...
These two angry New Yorkers also feature on some fine new fitted caps...
Another classic Mishka graphic is the bloodshot 'Keep Watch' eye and it features on this wicked varsity jacket. It's simple, classic and well made...
And here's a fetchin hat to complete the starey eye look...
Check out these and lots of other winners in our Mishka section now.
New stuff from Nike
It's always a pleasure to see what Nike have to offer in a new drop and this latest one is no exception. As a brand Nike, along with their rivals Adidas Originals, are the back bone of streetwear culture with several of their products having truly iconic status. The selection of classic silhouettes that Nike have to work with means they can't really go wrong with footwear.
First up is the Air Max 1 ACG (All Conditions Gear) Pack in Dark Shadow and Purple. First released in 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 signaled the beginning of an era. The visible air unit blew people's minds and the fresh colourways gave them added appeal. Today they represent the turning point of sneakers, and the fact that a look that is nearly 23 years old is still breaking necks, says it all.
This ACG version with an ultra-durable design and traction that stands up to every challenge, this shoe helps you hit the great outdoors with confidence. It features a faux suede upper which is broken up with contrast mesh paneling, reflective branding on the tongue and heel and the visible air unit in the midsole plus two sets of lace ups.
The colour-way works so well on these, with a perfect use of bright colours that don't betray the simplicity of the silhouette. The optional mismatched laces are a nice touch to. Check 'em out....
The Air Force 1 has the same amount of dedicated fans as the Air Max 1 and has the advantage of an almost endless array of colour-ways. The end of last year saw the release of the hiking pack range, which offered truly premium versions of the shoe inspired by hard wearing outdoor footwear. These latest premium versions are of the same standard but take the shoe back to it's urban/sports roots.
These black newbies feature melton wool sections of the uppers that contrasts very nicely against the reflective swoosh, all of which is sitting on top of a deep white midsole. AF 1 freaks are going to love these...
We've also got this new fresh and clean version of the Air Force One High. The dark brown swoosh goes nicely with the under sole and the velcro strap with a swoosh sewn on is always a strong feature of this silhouette...
Another shoe which uses the Velcro very well is the Vandal Low and this latest Grey/Red colour-way suits it perfectly. The red strap sits perfect across the uppers that are an extremely satisfying shade of Grey. Subtle and dope....
The Nike Dunk was first released in 1986 and it's multiple colour-ways immediately caught the imagination of the American market. It was first released to match the uniforms of the 7 most prestigious college basketball teams. It served this purpose and then lay dormant for almost a decade until it was re-released and instantly adopted by the skate and sneaker communities. The variations of colour-ways that have been released since is immense.
These latest Dunk Highs hark back to that original college b-ball release and are part of the Nike 'Be True to your School' pack. Premium tumbled leathers are used for the mud, lace and ankle guards. The main Upper features a polka dot embossed leather for a cool added effect. A fine version of a classic.
Last up is this vew version of the Nike Air 180. A classic running shoe that was designed with superior comfort and cushioning in mind. This nearly all black number with a tonal grey swoosh and little dashes of red and blue detailing throughout were clearly designed with the more stealthy sneaker head in mind...whatever you do in them just don't get caught.
Top quality basics from Nike and Adidas Originals

Sometimes you just want a nice basic item of clothing for everyday wear that's going to be comfy but still looks the business. When this need occurs you can rely on heritage brands such as Nike and Adidas Originals to provide. We've just got a batch of top quality basic apparel from both of these massive brands.
Lets start with Nike and their excellent Player range of graphic hoodys and crewnecks. They feature a large screenprinted old school 'Nike Sportswear' logo on the front, come in some tasty colour combinations and have been specially washed to give them a vintage look. Classic stuff. Here's the crew...
I really like the red against the dark blue on this one. Such a classic look. If you're looking for something a bit louder here's the purple number...
The hoody is rocking the same look and also comes in some dope colour-ways.
This next Nike Contender hoody is made from heavyweight cotton with a fleeced lining and double lined hood so it is comfy with a big fat C. Be careful though or the girlfriend will soon adopt it as her favourite lounging top...take it from a man with experience. It's also got a neat little button hole on the inside of the left pocket to feed your earphone cord through to keep things tidy.
The Trefoil is, as we all know, one of the strongest logos around and it is often all the graphics that is needed on a garment to give it the right look. This next Adi Polo shirt shows this perfectly. A classic basic piece.
This next one is the SPO Hooded Floc. It's a fine example of the sportswear that Adidas has built it's name on. The tonal three stripes down the sleeves are a very nice touch and the fleeced lining means you don't want to take it off. Make sure you do though. I mean, you've got to wash and stuff.
For the full lounging get up you'll need some tracky bottom's and we've got these SPO Fleece TP's that are definitely up to the task. Again with the trefoil, tonal three stripes going down the side and made from heavyweight cotton to keep your pegs cosy.
We've also got this pull over Hood Fleece, if you don't want a 'zip up', that follows the same rules as the rest: comfort, quality, a Trefoil and three stripes. There's a nice big kangaroo pouch pocket to tucks your hands away too.
So that's it for now. Check out our Nike and Adidas Originals sections today to see the full selection we've got to offer.
New Crooks & Castles Fitted Caps
If you're looking for a crisp design on a New Era 59Fifty cap then Crooks & Castles is the streetwear label for the job. They are strong believers in the strengthening of their brand through the repeated use of a core selection of graphics, and said designs just happen to look the business on the front panel of a fitted cap.
Let's start with the 'Chain C' logo design which we have in several tasty new colour-ways. I think it looks strongest in the navy blue with white C. Nice and simple...
Let's start with the 'Chain C' logo design which we have in several tasty new colour-ways. I think it looks strongest in the navy blue with white C. Nice and simple...
For those who prefer a bit more colour variation in their hats there's this Black/Grey/Gold version. Very LA...
Black on black is always popular when it comes to New Era's. The design is still obvious due to the thick raised embroidery but the overall look is kept subtle. This is the 'Block Type' design...
This next design is a staff favourite. Again Crooks and Castles have kept it simple with a design that use's ol' fashioned sports team script which is why it's called...'Baseball Script'. Inspired...
A classic look. Again if you prefer more colour variation there's this Camel/Dk Navy version just for you...
To check out the other colour-ways we have in stock and the rest of the Crooks gear we've got check out our Crooks and Castles section.
